About
St. Cecilia School has been a proud part of the parish and Beaverton community since 1913 and currently enrolls several second and third-generation families. St. Cecilia is a pre-school through eighth grade school, with one classroom at each grade level. Our faculty members bring exemplary experience, dedication and professional knowledge to their students. Each learner is appreciated for his or her individual talents and abilities. An atmosphere of care, encouragement and success pervades each classroom. As a cohesive team, the administration and staff are fully committed to educational excellence and modeling gospel values. Students and their families benefit greatly from these qualities.
St. Cecilia graduates are recognized by top area high schools as well-prepared students, strong leaders and well-rounded individuals. The overwhelming majority of our eighth graders continue their education at one of the five Catholic high schools in the greater Portland area. St. Cecilia School enjoys a positive and productive partnership with these institutions.
In more recent years, with generous parish, parent and community support, our school underwent an amazing renovation, creating a top-notch learning facility. New construction brought a high school quality science lab, music & band facility and brand-new Preschool and Kindergarten classrooms in addition to a breathtaking gymnasium/activity center, to accommodate both our P.E. and Performing Arts programs. These new facilities in addition to a state-of-the-art computer lab and library facility, as well as ongoing instruction in such areas as Spanish, Art Literacy and the availability of an experienced Learning Specialist, results in a school that truly educates the whole child.
A high degree of parental involvement has long been a hallmark of St. Cecilia School. Parents are involved as classroom volunteers, guest speakers, fundraisers, CYO coaches and members of various school committees. New families are welcomed and encouraged to become an active part of the St. Cecilia community. This cooperation and assistance greatly impacts the positive learning environment for all of our students.
